ENTER THE BEAUTIFUL BIZARRE ART PRIZE

The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates diversity and excellence in the representational visual arts, in all static mediums including Traditional Art media, Digital Art media, and Photographic media; and all styles from realism and hyperrealism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow.

Winning the RAYMAR Painting Award was an honour that is difficult to put into words. Beautiful Bizarre has built a decades-long reputation for sharing some of the worlds’ most… well… beautiful and bizarre art. To have a panel of judges consider my work at the top of that aesthetic: it energizes me and inspires me to create more. As we all engage more and more in an online world, our local art communities can be forgotten. We NEED to connect with other artists and art lovers to feel alive and to stay alive.
This competition is a conduit for artists all over the world to connect. I was exposed to artists and works that I had never heard of or seen before. Winning is, of course, fantastic – but even if you don’t win, you are engaging and connecting. Your work is being seen by someone who may one day remember you for an exhibition they are curating or a collector that is looking for specific works; this is the ecosystem of the art world. The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize helps us all connect.

The RAYMAR Painting Award 1st prize winner will receive:
