About the Artist

Yueming Li  is a Los Angeles-based visual artist whose work explores atmospheric imagery and the space between reality and imagination, creating poetic scenes through visual storytelling. Having lived in different countries, Yueming sees visual language as a way to communicate beyond words and across cultures. She builds imagined spaces by bringing together figures, symbolic elements, and unexpected visual combinations. Her practice spans publishing and entertainment, including book covers, book illustrations, editorial illustrations, key art, promotional artwork, and other narrative-driven visual projects. Her work has received international recognition from the Applied Arts Awards, Japan Illustrators’ Association Illustration Awards, Three x Three Illustration Awards, and iJungle Illustration Awards, among others.

“Ashes of the Illusion”: This illustration explores the Buddhist concept of the “Three-Thousand Great Worlds” while reflecting on my perceptions of dream, illusion, and reality. As a fleeting flash within the vastness of eternity, life often captures only the appearances of the world, which are, in truth, the projections of the inner self. I translate these dual philosophies into a visual meditation.
