About the Artist

Rubén Fernández Pereira is a 39 years old Spanish. His profession is technical engineer. Since he was a child Rubén loved drawing, but due to life circumstances he was never able to seriously dedicate himself to his passion.

In 2022 Rubén began to draw constantly again, with the aim of starting his career as an artist. He was training in hyperrealistic drawing techniques with the support of his mentor Dirk Dzmirsky from 2023, specializing himself in the charcoal technique on paper.

“The Beacon”: Among our negative thoughts of frustration in adverse situations, opportunities for change arise. A little hope will show the path and will lift us from our fears, giving us an optimistic perspective of improvement. Our eyes must find how to see in the midst of the deepest darkness, and not fall into the weakness of pessimism and sinking. The opportunities for overcoming will be in our hands, we depend on our own resilience.
