Why should I enter the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize?

Unlike most other Art Prizes, the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates excellence in the representational visual arts, in all mediums and genres from realism and hyper-realism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow.

The Beautiful Bizarre Magazine Art Prize is a non-acquisitive art prize which provides an amazing opportunity for traditional and digital 2D + 3D artists and photographers to:

  • participate in the prestigious annual Beautiful Bizarre Magazine curated exhibition alongside 50+ of the world’s best contemporary artists
  • receive exposure to a commercial galleries collector base
  • enjoy the opportunity to sell their work through a successful commercial gallery in the USA
  • win cash and product prizes
  • feature in print magazine and web editorial
  • enjoy advertising packages
  • and most importantly, receive worldwide exposure!

This is the perfect opportunity for artists to get their work in front of both the Editor-in-Chief of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and the Directors of Haven Gallery, plus connect with the 50+ artists participating in the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine curated exhibition.

What is ‘Representational Art’?

‘Representational Art’ refers to artwork that is created in such a way that the subject is easily recognized by most people. For example, in a painting of a cat, the cat is recognisable as a cat.

The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize welcomes entries in all static mediums and genres from realism and hyper-realism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow – so long as the artwork also falls under the umbrella category of representational art.

Can Pop Surrealism, Lowbrow, Imaginative Realism and other cutting edge art styles enter?

Yes! Unlike most other Art Prizes, the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates excellence in the representational visual arts, in all mediums and genres from realism and hyper-realism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow.
