The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize is a fantastic art prize to enter because in the lead up the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine team share entries on their social media, email newsletters and web blogs. I entered for several years before being a finalist and received many unexpected opportunities along the way.

Winning 3rd Prize in the Painting Award last year has given me a new level of confidence in my work, allowing me to let go of some nagging fear and doubts. I just want to paint even harder! This is certainly an important milestone in this chapter of my art journey. The Art Prize exhibition was such a joy to be a part of; I was super excited to exhibit in New York for the very first time! I never imagined when I started out painting on the kitchen bench as a child, that one day I might show my artwork in one of the biggest cities in the world!

The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates diversity and excellence in the representational visual arts, in all static mediums including Traditional Art media, Digital Art media, and Photographic media; and all styles from realism and hyperrealism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow.
